New Indian Church.— -The Presbyterian Church of New Zealand is contributing £ll3O towards the erection of a church in Chandigarh, the new capital of the Punjab, India. This was announced in Wellington by the New Zealand church’s mission secretary (the Rev. J. S. Murray). The new capital is being created out of a small village and, when complete, is expected to have a population of 500,000. The North-west India Christian Council, which comprises representatives of the United Church of India, and the Methodist, Anglican, Baptist, and United Presbyterian Churches, will provide and supervise the new church.—(P.
