Press Association—Copyright) Parachute Instructor Killed.—A Swiss parachutist instructor, Roger Audoin. was killed today when two parachutes he was carrying failed to open during a demonstration. Audoin jumped from about 6500 feet, intending to open ope parachute first, then discard it in maid-air, and finally pull the cord of the second parachute and land with it. Neither opened.—Mannheim, June 16. Randolph Turpin Injured.—Randolph Turpin, middle-weight champion boxer, was admitted to hospital at Banbury, Oxfordshire, tohight, and later allowed to go home. It is understood the car he was driving left the road and overturned. One of two women passengers travelling with him was detained with slight concussion.—London, June 17. Aorangi’s Last Voyage.— The lines Aorangi left Sydney late this afternoon on her way to the breaking up yards in Glasgow. Mr Elson Rees, defending counsel, submitted that Haskayne killed the woman after an epileptic fit when he did not know what he was doing.—London, June 18.
