ICE HOCKEY
INTERNATIONAL BEATEN BY CANTERBURY The Canterbury ice hockey team beat the International team in a fast game at the Centaurus road ice rink on Saturday by 6 goals to 4. Canterbury scored three goals early in the game and led 3-1 at half-time. Canterbury scorers were D. Ellis (1), B. Yellowlees (1), R. Smith (2). and J. Le Quesne (2). International scorers were H. van der Velde (1), B. Engles (2), and A. Sparrow (1).
The teams were as follows: Canterbury.—G. Cornish, G. Pamiska, O. Ellis, D. Ellis, D. Cassidy, B. Yellowlees, J. Le Quesne, R. Smith. International.—H. van der Velde, J. Hogland, B. Engles, J. van der Griend, B. Armstrong, G.« Hawker, A. Sparrow, L. Stirten, W. Sparrow.
