N.Z. POLICE OFFICER VISITS LONDON
PREPARATIONS FOR ROYAL TOUR (New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON NTH., June 12. The Assistant-Commissioner or Police (Mr P. J. Nalder) flew to England just before the Coronation. In an interview in Palmerston North, tonight, the Minister in charge of Police (Mr W. H. Fortune) said Mr Nalder had gone to study conditions of crowd control, with particular reference to the coming Royal tour. “While there, as New Zealanas security chief, he will s confer with United Kingdom officials on security, again with emphasis on the tour, said the Minister. “Generally, he will help to establish a liaison between this country and England.”
