MURDER CHARGE
ACCUSED REMANDED TO JUNE 18
In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr Raymond Ferner, SM., Eruera Te Rongapatahi, aged 23, a labourer of Tinwald, was remanded by consent to June 18 on a charge of murdering James Alexander Henderson at Lagmhor on June 1, 1953. Te Rongapatahi had been remanded when he appeared in the Magistrate's Court at Ashburton on June 4. Detective-Sergeant G. W. Alty asked for the remand, to which Mr D. W. Russell, instructed by Mr V. W. Russell, of Ashburton, consented.
