“Cattle Trek”
A film on the driving of beef cattle from Okura, South Westland, to Wataroa, a distance of 170 miles, was screened in Christchurch last evening. The film was made by the National Film Unit. The cattle, which came from a property 60 miles long, in the far south of Westland, took three weeks to complete the journey to the autumn sale at Wataroa. In spite of the long rugged journey, they topped the market.
