James Baird, Moderator of the church, tonight expressed their loyalty to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Speaking in Wellington the Moderator said: “We shall follow with the greatest interest and warmest affection the dedication of Her Majesty to her high calling as the ruler of her people. There is a keen sense of appreciation among us of the forthright Christian faith of Her Majesty, and we would assure her that as she goes to her hallowing she will be surrounded by the prayers of us all.
