Ministers at White City.— ,r?e Commonwealth Prime Ministers —Mr Holland (New Zealand), Mr Menzies (Australia), and Mr St. Laurent (Canada)—attended the London Caledonian Games at the White City today. . All made brief speeches. As each Prime Minister stepped into the arena, a small boy in a kilt presented each Prime Minister’s wife with a bouquet—London, May 30. Japanese at Whaling Conference A Japanese Foreign Office spokesman said at Tokyo today that Japan would send the Parliamentary deputy Foreign Minister (Mr Akira Kotakf) as chief delegate to the international whaling conference which will open m London on June 22. He will be accompanied by three officials of the Government Fishery Board.—Tokyo May 30. 38 Injured in Train Smash.— The electric “streamliner” train left the rails in the Bitter Root mountains in Montana yesterday, and 36 persons were hurt. A broken rail was blamed for the accident. Five carriages spilled down a 15-foot embankment and sparks from broken power wires set two others on fire.—New York June 1.
