Leslie John Edyvean, aged 46, a single man, of 197 Fitzgerald avenue, Christchurch.
A pillion passenger on the motorcycle, Miss Joyce Manera, of 69 Grenville street, Woolston, was later admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital with concussion. The accident occurred at the junction of the road with the old West Coast road. The motor-car, driven by Mr John Findlay Hamilton, aged 20, of 33 Paparoa street, Papanui, was travelling west, while the motor-cycle was travelling towards Christchurch. INJURED MAN DIES

William John Sinclair, aged 49, a metal woiker. of Wellington, who was injured at work at Petone on Thursday when a heavy piece of machinery fell on him, died this morning. He was admitted to hospital suffering from concussion and an injury to the spine.
ELDERLY MAN DIES OF INJURIES

Alexander Kennedy, an elderly man, of Everton street, Anderson’s Bay, died after an accident involving a motorcar in Anderson’s Bay road tonight. Mr Kennedy was taken by ambulance to the Dunedin Public Hospital, but was dead when it arrived there.
CARS COLLIDE ON INTERSECTION
FOUR PERSONS TREATED AT HOSPITAL
When two motor-cars collided at the corner of Armagh street and Oxford terrace at 4 p.m. yesterday, three persons had to be treated later at the Christchurch Public Hospital for minor cuts and abrasions, and a fourth person, was admitted with injuries. They were: Patrick Price, of 35 Hoon Hay road, Miss T. Culloty, of 139 Barbadoes street, George Alfred Tuer and Isobel Tuer, of 133 Moorhouse avenue. Mrs Tuer was admitted.
ELDERLY PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY BUS
A pedestrian, John Adams Buchanan, aged 90, of 28 Maxwell street, Riccarton, was knocked down by a bus at the Bank of New Zealand corner, Colombo street, yesterday afternoon. On admission to the Christchurch Public Hospital, he was found to have been only dazed.
CYCLIST INJURED IN COLLISION
A cyclist, Arthur John Strong, aged 74, of 20 Oxley street, St. Albans, suffered head injuries when he was involved in a collision with a motorcar in Bealey avenue, yesterday. He was later admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital, where his condition was reported to be satisfactory. The motor-car was driven by Mr S. Clark, of 49 McLean street, Linwood.
