FISHING AT LAKE ROTOITI
Sir, —I have read in “The Press” today of the vice-regal visit to Moose Lodge and the Governor-General’s fishing for trout on May 13. According to regulations of holding a licence to fish for trout, the season is finished; so I would like to know if there is an open season for doing so at Lake Rotoiti.—Yours, etc., EX-LICENCE HOLDER.
May 15, 1953. [This letter was referred to the office of the Minister .of Internal Affairs, Mr Bodkin, and it was found that in this area the season closed on May 14—the day following his Excellency’s attempt for trout.]
