CERCLE FRANCAIS
Mr H. Honore presided at the May meeting of the Christchurch Cercle Francais. He announced the receipt of £25 from the French Legation towards the cercle’s expenses. , Miss Lyonella Walker played several cello solos: “Bjerceuse de Jocelyn” (Godard), “Orientale" (Cui), “Le Cygne” (Saint-Saens) and “Berceuse” (Gqens). Miss Robinson was accompanist. * ..Mr Arts gave and address on French life and food. Two competitions were enjoyed by the 70 members present. The hosts for the evening were Mr rs £J iss c - E - Robinson, and Miss Betty Trenwith.
