SHIRLEY LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
_ At the annual meeting of the Shirley League of Mothers the following officers were elected: president Mrs H. C. L. Pruden; vice-presidents. Mrs Hardy Cookson and Mrs C. G. Cameron; treasurer. Mrs J. Graham; magazine secretary, Mrs G. R. Saunders. Two new members were appointed to the committee. Mrs F. Beumelberg and Mrs M, Washington. The annual report showed an increased membership, and a successful year’s activities. Mrs Hardy Cookson gave two violin solos, and the choir gave an item. An interesting article on life to the Chatham Islands was read by Mrs Pruden. The hostesses were Mesdames A. Robinson. V. Waddington, H. Briggs, and G. Saunders. The creche was cared for by Mrs N. C. Clapp and Mrs Garber. Three new members were enrolled.
