DEATH OF SEAFORD
(New Zealand Press Association) PALMKRSTON NORTH, May 14. The five-year-old gelding Seaford dropped dead at Awapuni this morning after running half a mile with Sportsfield, Seaford was owned by Mr L. H. Collinson and trained by C. J. Thomson. He was by Mario from Ara, by Lackham from Aratulla. During his career he started in 41 races for four wins, five seconds, two thirds, and one fourth. His stake-earnings totalled £1892 10s. Foxton Acceptor* Lady Daring la an aceeptor for the first division of the Trial Stakes at the Foxton Racing Club’s meeting, and not Lady Defy, as was stated in the list of acceptors published in ’’The Press” on Tuesday.
