CATERING AT LINCOLN COLLEGE FUNCTION The students of Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, saved tiie college money lay accepting responsibility for afternoon tea arrangements on April 29. when Hudson Hall was opened and the foundation stone of the refectory block was laid. The director (Dr. M. M. Burns) told the board of governors yesterday that the cost of the afternoon tea had been slightly more than £2B. At Is 6d a head the cost would have been £45, he said, and if an outside caterer had been engaged, the college would have faced a mH for about £75. Dr. Burns said that the cost of the afternoon tea included £5 5s for cups. There had been “a pure accident the bottom had fallen out of a case of cups which was being carried by a student. The board decided to make a grant of £l5 15s to the students’ association in appreciation of its assistance. Mr C. E.
