NEW ROTARY CLUB TO RECEIVE CHARTER
FORMATION AT RICCARTON A charter will be presented to the Riccarton Rotary Club on May 27 by the District Governor (Mr J. Robbie, of Invercargill). The club has been in existence provisionally for two months, after being formed by 25 members, who were all approached by the Christchurch Rotary Club. Application for the granting of the charter was made to Rotary International in Chicago, by the Christchurch Club, which is acting as sponsor. Mr J. Leggat, headmaster of the Christchurch Boys’ High School, is president of the Riccarton club, Mr F. Woodfield is vice-president, and Mr R. Sarjeant, Towh Clerk of Riccarton, is the secretary.
