SHIP’S BOWS SLICED OFF IN COLLISION.—The British North Sea ferry Duke of York being towed toward Harwich, England, after her bow section had sunk in a collision with the American freighter Haiti Victory. The Duke of York was making a normal run from the Hook of Holland to Harwich with 437 passengers, seven of whom lost their lives. The American ship was less badly damaged.
