PITT ISLAND
Sir, —In “The Press” this morning I noticed that Mr and Mrs Gregory Hunt were said to be the oldest inhabitants of Pitt Island, having been there for 28 years. I would like you to know that I was bom aijd resident there for 65 years, only coming to Christchurch to live four years ago. I still farm on Pitt Island, flying back and forth.—Yours, etc., H. A. HUNT, May 9. 1953.
