ST. JOHN AMBULANCE CADETS
RESULTS OF ANNUAL COMPETITIONS Twenty-five teams competed in the annual competitions of the Christchurch Corps Nursing Cadets of the St. John Ambulance Brigade held recently. Teams from the Selwyn Cadet Nursing Division won each of the five trophies. Miss D. Brown and Mrs Piper, of the Royal Life-saving Society, conducted the tests in resuscitation, and officers of the brigade judged other events. Results:— Sister McGregor Cup (senior): Selwyn Cadet Nursing Division (Marian Webb, Joan Henwood, Judith Graham, and Hilda Forrester), 161 points, 1; Beckenham Cadet Nursing Division 2. Watson Improvising Cup (senior): Selwyn Cadet Nursing Division (Marian Webb. Joan Henwood. Judith Graham, and Hilda Forrester) 1, Beckenham Cadet Nursing Division 2. Rees First Aid Cup (cadets under 16): Selwyn Cadet Nursing Division (Diana Gillard, Alison Daly, Celia McMillan, and Helen Barry) 1, Christchurch Cadet Nursing Division 2. Ida Lingham Home Nursing Cup (cadets under 16): Selwyn Cadet Nursing Division (Diana Gillard. Rosalie Wordsworth, Margaret Wilson, and Margaret Bowley) 1, Christchurch Cadet Nursing Division 2. Willes First Aid Cup (teams with not more than one year’s service): Selwyn Cadet Nursing Division (Margaret Jackson, Margaret McNish, Shirley Rayner, and Janice Peterson) 1, Beckenham Cadet Nursing Division 2.
