CHRISTCHURCH CASH CLUB The Christchurch Cycling Club held a 20-mile road race over an out-and-home course on Saturday. Results:— P. Doyle. 55min lOsec, 1: A. Day, 55min 10.2 sec, 2; A. Ayres, 55min Usee, 3; N. Home (6min). 57min 12sec, 4; J. Davidson (Bmin), 59min 12.4 sec, 5. Sutherland, off the scratch mark, recorded the fastest time of 52min 45sec; and Gibbs, off the same mark, was only a second behind him. PAPANUI AMATEUR CLUB Following is the result of a 20-mile road race held by the Papanui Amateur Cycling Club on Bryant 1, I. Dawson 2. H. Bush 3. Time, Simin 36sec. Bryant also secured fastest time. CHRISTCHURCH AMATEUR CLUB A 25-mile time trial was held by the Christchurch Amateur Cycling Club. Result:—PJ Wylie 1. D. Campbell 2, R. Clark 3, J. Faulkner 4. Time, 64min 18sec. A sealed handicap run in conjunction with the time trial resulted: D. Gibbs (7mln), fiOmln 41sec, 1: A. Shaw (7jmin), 62min 19sec. 2; R. Treloar (51mln), and I. Baker (9}min), 83m in 6sec, equal 3. MAIREHAU NOVICE CLUB The Mairehau Novice Wheelmen’s Club held a handicap event over seven and a half miles. Results:— Senior Handicap, seven miles and a half: T. Rondel (6min), 23min S.lsec, 1; I. McClinchy (6min), 23min 52sec, 2; A. Boyce (4min), 21min 14.2 sec, 3. Fastest time: D. Johnston (jmin), 20min 44.4 sec, 1; A. Boj rce (4min), 21min 14.2 sec, 2.
