The land is to be the site of the newsprint mill. » Y 1 ?®” the company's proposal was put to the assembly there were only four dissentients. The area had 99 owners, of which a large majority were present The chairman, Mr H. Martin, of the Maori Affairs Department, Rotorua, announced that the motioh was carried by 107 shares of land to 49. Two further proposals embracing pockets of 10 and 36 acres belonging to nine members of the Savage family were adjourned until the sitting of the Maori Land Court next month to allow them to put forward claims as to the position of boundaries.
