sue risuiiig mvers The condition of the fishing rivers at noon yesterday, according to advice received by the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society, was: Selwyn and Halswell, clear and flshable; Hurunui, Waimakariri and Rakaia, slightly discoloured but clearing; Ashley, dirty but clearing; Waiau, dirty and unfishable; Upper Rakaia, normal but slightly discoloured. At Lake Coleridge the weather was calm and clear, and at Highbank, north-west and clear.
