The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the South Brighton Progress League: patrons, Messrs J. Mathison, M.P., and R. M. Macfarlane, M.P.; president. Mr Roy Smith; vice-presidents, Messrs N. Beckett, W. O’Brien and D. English; secretary, Mr C. Ellingham; treasurer, Mr Beckett committee, Mesdames Barrat and Melhuish, Messrs English, Vincent, O’Brien, Herbert, Wilkinson, and Pec die.
