PRECAUTIONS IN NAIROBI

MORE OUTRAGES EXPECTED (Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, April 8. The strictest security precautions against Mau Mau terrorists ever mounted in Nairobi were in force today as fears grew that new outrages are near. The authorities think that anti-white terrorists, pledged to drive the white man from Kenya, may strike to coincide with the announcement today of the verdict on the alleged terrorist leader, Jomo Kenyatta, and five other Africans charged with organising the Mau Mau movement. Security forces killed 21 terrorists in clashes in various parts of Kenya yesterday. t . An African tailor arrested yesterday was found making white armbands similar to those used by the Home Guard. Some of these have been found in the possession of Mau Mau, apparently intending to use them as part of the intimidation campaign.
