PROTEST MADE TO CZECHS
“Strongest Possible Terms” WASHINGTON, March 10. The United States has ordered the strongest possible protest to be sent to Czechoslovakia about the shooting down of the Thunderjet. The State Department said Mr George Wadsworth, the Ambassador at Prague, was instructed to make a pro- • test to the Czech Foreign Office. He had been told to “lodge the strongest possible protest against the attack on United States aeroplanes and violation of the Western Zone of Germany.” The State Department said Mr Wadsworth was told to draw up the protest himself, and consequently it did not know the exact wording at this time. • Government officials said the MiG’s had Czech Air Force markings.
