CHRISTCHURCH DIOCESE The following appointments in the Roman Catholic diocese of Christchurch were announced by Bishop Joyce yesterday:— Parish priests: Woolston, the Rev. P. Madden: Rakaia, the Rev. J. Quinn; Darfield, the Rev. P. Foley; Wataroa, the Rev. T. Daly; Kumara, the Rev. J. Leonard: Ross, the Rev. J. Murphy; Hawarden, the Rev. J. S. O’Brien; Runanga, the Rev. M. G. O’Sullivan (administrator).
Assistant priests: Cathedral, the Rev. J. McHale; Addington, the Rev. J. O’Sullivan; Ashburton, the Rev. G. O’Connor: Hawarden, the Rev. T. O’Dowd; Hokitika, the Rev. C. Horgan; Greymouth, the Rev.
