INTERESTING STORY BEHIND NEW NEON ELECTRIC SIGN ■ So ™£. eighteen months'ago a prominent City Furnishing Firm decided to open a Carpeting Section and offer the Public real pre-war vintage service, the sort of cheerful courteous service which when combined with sound honest value, brings certain success. The response of the buying Public.has been most gratifying for this Firm, the Regent Furnishing and Carpet Centre (formerly known as Regent Furnishers Ltd.). Their Carpet Department is now one of the busiest in Christchurch and in order to give due recognition to the importance of this section of their business, it was recently decided to add the word “Carpet” to the Firm’s name, and so Regent Furnishers Ltd. is now known ns REGENT FURNISHING and CARPET CENTRE, the. address is still the same 161-165 Gloucester street. The brilliant new Neon Sign recently erected above their Showrooms in Gloucester street carries the new name and may be seen from either Colombo or Manchester streets. —Advt.
