AUCKLAND LABOUR COMMITTEE
MR F. G. YOUNG TO CONTEST PRESIDENCY (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 10. Mr F. G. Young, secretary of the Hotel Workers’ Union, has been nominated for the presidency of the Auckland Labour Representation Committee. He will oppose the sitting president. Mr R. F. Barter.
Among 30 candidates for the five seats on the executive are Mr F. W. Schramm, a former Auckland member of Parliament. Mr C. Boswell former New Zealand Minister to Moscow Mr W Butler, a member of the Auckland City Council, and five women. The election will be held on April 9.
