PIGEON FLYING

CANTERBURY CLUB The Canterbury Flying Pigeon Club flew a race from Blenheim in fine but windy weather. N.' Stringer’s bird was first home, doing the distance of about 150 miles in the brilliant time of 4hr 26min 45sec. Results:— N. Stringer (1079 yards a minute) 1, W. Goslin (1061) 2, A. Thomas (920) 3, L. Gay (810) 4, R. Lumber (605 ) 5, N. Crook (599) 6, T. Toon (595 ) 7. Only seven owners out of 16 got their birds home in race time.
