NORTH CANTERBURY FEDERATION
A report on the meeting of >the Dominion council of the New Zealand Country Women’s Institutes, held at New Plymouth last month, was given by Mrs P. Topp at a recent meeting of the executive committee of the North Canterbury federation. Sympathy was expressed with Mrs G. Jenson. Dominion secretary, in her recent bereavement.
The housekeeper secretary (Mrs MeKeegan) presented her report, and announced with regret the resignations of two permanent housekeepers, Miss J. Pilcher and Miss Nolan.
Mrs Rennie reported that the coordinating committee was 'preparing for millinery classes to be held at Rangiora soon and that dressmaking classes had commenced in the Hurunui area.
It was announced that nominations for a delegate to attend the conference of the Associated Country Women of the World to be held at Toronto, Canada, this year had been forwarded to the Dominion headquarters in Wellington. Mrs B. L. Blunden presided.
