RUGBY FOOTBALL
MARIST CLUB Opening day was fixed for March 28 at the annual meeting of the Marist Rugby Football Club last evening. Officers were elected as follows:—patron, the Most Rev. E. M. Joyce; Spiritual director, the Very Rev. Father G. W. Harrison; president, Mr R. E. Dunn; active vice-presidents, the Very Rev. Father Harrison and Mr W. F. Clark; club captain, Mr H. P. Kearney; assistant club captain, Mr K. E. Meagher; secretary, Mr M. D. Hodgins; assistant secretary. Mr L. J. Buckley; treasurer, Mr P. V. Kearney; assistant treasurer,. Mr E. J. Walsh; auditor, Mr ’R. C. Boland; executive, Messrs R. A. Dalton, P. J. Dempsey, T. Doocey, O. M. Noonan, R. J. Byall, J. G. Mullins, S. R. Southall, J. J. Small, L. Wilson, and the Very Rev. Father Harrison; delegates to Canterbury Rugby Football Union, the Very Rev. Father Harrison, Messrs H. P. Kearney, Meagher, G.
