DISSENTER WINS LONG ACRE HANDICAP (New Zealand Press Association) * CROMWELL, March 9. The Cromwell Jockey Club’s meeting was concluded today in fine but windy weather. There was a good attendance, and the track was fast. The winning double, Maritea and Royal Road, paid £57 17s for £l. „ The totalisator handled £16,107, a decrease of £347, compared with the final day last year. The decrease for the meeting was £2104.
