RUSSLEY CLUB The Russley Golf Club held its opening day on Saturday. A mixed four-bail bogey handicap for the Halstead Cup resulted : J. W. Johnston and Miss Hennessy, 7 up; F. Williamson and Mrs Williamson, 7 up; M. W. Stanley and Mrs Stanley, 7 up. Johnston and Miss Hennessy won on a count-back. A bogey handicap for other members resulted:— A. H. Fulton, 2 down; P. J. McKay, 3 down; C. E. Evans, 3 down. A stroke handicap played on Sunday resulted:— A Grade.—D. N. Carter, 82, 8—74; M. J. B Wright, 81, 7—74. Carter won on a count-back. B Grade.—M. E. Smith, 84, 15—69; J. M. Crombie, 84, 13—71. C Grade.—P. Maples, 90, 19—71; M. Milner, 91, 19—72.
