CHINESE FORCES IN BURMA
FRONTIER CLASH REPORTED
(Rec. 11 p.m.) RANGOON, Feb. 20. Chinese Nationalists regrouping on the war-time Burma road leading to Yunnan clashed with Chinese Communist troops in Wanting, a town 30 miles.from the frontier, according to reports received in Rangoon. The Communists were led by Brigadier Naw Seng, a deserter from the Burmese Army who attended a course of indoctrination at the Communist revolutionary school in Paoshan, Yunnan. The Nationalists staged the attack from the deserted Burmese frontier village of Kyukok, where they set up advanced headquarters. Three days ago the Nationalists looted Muse, four miles south of Kyukok and are now reported to be moving along the border.
Burmese Army reinforcements are being sent to assist the harassed meagre garrisons along the frontier.
