N.Z. WOMEN’S PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, February- 20. Auckland players, Mesdames G. McHagan and V. Meredith, narrowly beat Mesdames W. Sinclair and A. Hardaker, of the Port Ahuriri Club, in the final of the pairs championships at the national women’s bowling tournament today. Although down 12-19 on the sixteenth head, the Auckland club pair recovered and won 20-19. In a game’ to decide third place, Mesdames M. Mortimer and E. Johnston (Parnell) beat Mesdames E. Elsdon and E Gibson (Parnell), 22-17.
