HOUSE OF LORDS
LONDON, February 18. The Parliamentary Labour Party decided. by 58 votes to 51, today that it would not accept Mr Churchill’s invitation to join in all-party discussions on reforms in the House of Lords. There are 295 Labpur members of Parliament when the party is at full strength, but many members are ill. The Labour Party onposcs any extension of power for the House of Lords, and almost as strongly opposes ■ any reforms which would tend to in- ’ crease the prestige of the Upper House.j
