AIR FORCE TITLE MEETING OPENS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 16. As Service represenatiVes will .be included in the New Zealand rifle teain which is to compete at Bisley this year, more than usual interest centred on the annual Air Force rifle championships, which began at Trentham today. - Among the competitors were 18 Army riflemen. The leading four of these will represent the Army at the National Rifle Association’s meeting next week, and the one most successful will be the Army nominee for the New Zealand team. The Air Force is expected to be strongly represented at the meeting next week, and its representatives in the New Zealand team will be chosen on a wider but similar basis to the army. « Squadron Leader H. L. Homer, the present Service champion, is defending his title. Among tfte competitors is Flight Sergeant D. J. Caughley (Wodbourne), who finished in the final 50 in the Queen’s Prize shoot at the national meeting last year. The meeting is scheduled to be completed by midday on Thursday.
