ELIMINATION OF A DANGEROUS LEVEL-CROSSING ON A MARLBOROUGH HIGHWAY—The new railway tunnel and built-up road which passes over the top of the tunnel at Nolan’s Crossing, on the Picton-Blenheim highway. To eliminate the old level-crossing, which was particularly bad for visibility, it was necessary to change the course of a small stream as well as alter the railway lines and road, inis is the last major reconstruction work on the main road between Picton and Blenheim.
