AUSTRALIAN LABOUR PARTY’S VIEWS
(Rec. 11 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Jan. 20. The biennial conference of the Australian Labour Party decided today to press for Britain’s inclusion in the Anzus Defence Pact. The decision was the outcome of a recommendation from the conference’s defence and international affairs committee.
The conference declared that because of Brtish authority .in Malaya and Borneo, no effective regional dedence policy could be framed for the south-west Pacific while Britain was excluded.
Davis Cup Entries.— Twenty-four entries were received for the European zone of the 1953 Davis Cup contests. The draw was made today.—Melbourne, January 20.
