5000 GUINEAS PAID FOR DALRAY’S HALF-BROTHER.—This brown colt by Count Rendered from Broiveine was sold for 5000 guineas at the annual national sale of thoroughbred yearlings at Trentham yesterday. The vendor was Mr H. F. Wooffindin, of New Plymouth, and the purchaser Mr Cyril Neville, of Greymouth. Mr Neville owns Dalray, the colt's half-brother and winner of the 1952 Melbourne Cup.
