BEER MEASURES AND PRICES

Sir, —May I, through your paper, extend to the brewery and independent hotel owners my deepest sympathy in their efforts to make both ends meet; in fact, I am having the same trouble myself. I might suggest that a way out of their difficulties would be to campaign in a vigorous manner to convince people to press for their property to be taken over and administered by a trust committee, such as Invercargill, Ashburton, etc., thus relieving themselves of the intolerable and unprofitable burden of administer-ing-the brewery trade.—Yours, etc., CLIVE W. J. WALKLIN. January 19, 1953.
