GOLD STOLEN AT KALGOORLIE
PERTH, November 11. A strongbox, believed to contain more than £lO,OOO worth of gold, disappeared at Kalgoorlie yesterday. Three boxes containing more than £45,000 worth of gold were being sent from the Leonora branch of the National Bank to a bank in Perth. The boxes arrived at Kalgoorlie by train and were taken to the parcels office to await transfer to the Perth express. Three-quarters of an hour later one of them was missing.
