SHEEPSKIN SALE AT AUCKLAND (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 11. Dry sheepskins sold at the Auckland auction today failed to reflect the improvement in wool values at the opening sale earlier in the week. Prices were generally slightly easier than those at the last Auckland auction on October 14. Salted sheepskins, however, showed a generally stronger tone. Full-woolled skins sold up to 26s 3d a skin—the best level this year—but in skins carrying less wool the improvement was proportionately lower. A stronger demand also existed for hides, and prices were in many cases at their highest level of the year. Top lines of Auckland abattoir yearling hides sold at per lb, and country butchers cow hides made up to 22d.
