Ending Of Functions Criticised OPINION OF ORDER OF ST. JOHN (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 2L Deep regret was expressed at ths annual meeting of the Priory in Nev Zealand of the Venerable Order of St John at the action of the National Patriotic Fund Board in discontinuing the functions' of the Joint Council ol the Order of St. John and the Jiev Zealand Red Cross Society. The meeting considered that disabled servicemen still required the service previously given by the voluntary workers of the Order of St. John visiting servicemen in hospitals an< in. their homes, and in assisting then in numerous ways. The meeting agreed that branches tt the order would offer their co-opera tion in visiting the sick and woundeC
