LANCASTER PARK
Sir, —The general public will be very pleased to read that the Victory Park Board intends to improve facilities at Lancaster Park. I put forward the following suggestion for consideration: The present No. 3 stand to be demolished and in its place a structure similar to the Rugby Park stand erected. Provision for entrances from. Wilsons road could be made by the acquisition of properties at the rear of the present stand. These would also serve as exits and thus relieve congestion at the present exits. Modern facilities for players could be provided below the stand and perhaps a broadcasting box built on top. No doubt the board would be horrified at the prospect of its bank balance being depleted, if not exhausted, but with determination this desirable objective could be achieved—Yours, etc., CASTOR.
