PRICES HIGHER THAN LAST MONTH (Rec. 12.30 a.m.) PERTH, October 8. The Perth wool sales concluded today on a hardening note, with prices 5 to 10 per cent, higher than at Perth last month. .Competition was keen, and widespread. The main buyers were Britain, the Continent, and Japan. Of the 13,000 bales offered, 97 per cent, were sold. The top price was 115 d, for 16 bales of Merino super 64’s. Greek Election Sought.— The Greek Prime Minister (General Plastiras) has asked King Paul to form a caretaker Cabinet of prominent personalities to proclaim and conduct an election, probably in the middle of November.
