TRANSFERS DURING THIRD TERM COMMITTEES PROTEST AGAINST SYSTEM The Canterbury School Committed Association last evening decided to protest against the system under which teachers were permitted to transfer to new positions during the third term at primary schools. Mr K. R. Milne (Wharenui) said h« had been asked to bring to the notice of the association the action of ■ teacher of Form II pupils, who successfully for another position during the third term and took up hi® new appointment during the term. He considered it a serious matter that the children in Form II at this late stage should be upset by losing their teacher. “Are these children getting a deal?” Mr Milne asked.
