ELECTION OF OFFICERS Officers elected at the thirteenth annual meeting of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Geographical Society last evening were: president, Mr H. M. Sweney; vice-presi-dents, Professor G. Jobberns, Professor L. W. McCaskill, and Mr A. C. pitcaithly; chairman, Mr M. McCaskill; secretary, Miss J. E. Chapman; treasurer, Miss N. Clark; branch recorder, Mr V. Preece- committee, Messrs N. F. Pearce, W. L. Stewart, W. J. Clark, and W. J. A. Brittenden; branch representative to New Zealand council, Mr J. L. Hewland.
