MINISTER LIKELY TO • BRING IN BILL (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, October 8. Before Parliament adjourns the Minister of Labour (Mr W. Sullivan) is likely to bring in a short bill providing for a public holiday next year on Tuesday, June 2. the day of Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation in London. That would indicate that the day for observing the Queen’s birthday, which under the Sovereign’s Birthday Observance Act passed earlier this session. is fixed bv proclamation of the Governor-General, will be June 1, giving two consecutive holidays after the week-end.
