FRENCH REPORT OF “FLYING CIGAR”
(Rec 8 p.m.) PARIS. October 7 Two French airmen reported, last night sighting a “luminous cigar shaped object,” probably travelling at between 1300 and 1800 miles an hour as they flew over the Mediterranean C °The pilot and the co-pilot of an Air France liner flying from London to Nice, said that the object was bigger than the airliner and shone brilliantly. They said they saw the "flying cigar ’ for about 30 seconds before it disappeared. leaving a white trail faintly tinged with blue.
