RAILWAYMEN’S WAGES
DANNEVIRKE WORKERS’ RESOLUTION (New Zealand Press Association) DANNEVIRKE, October 7. A meeting of the Dannevirke branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants today supported the national executive of the society in any action it saw fit to take to bring railwaymen’s wages into line with the Arbitration Court’s decision. The meeting, which was attended by almost every member, approved the following resolution:—“This branch views with great concern the laxity with which the Government is treating the wages claim, and will give every support to the national executive in any action it may take in this matter.”
